Spring has sprung on the farm

FB's niece got a free bottle calf to show at the fair this summer.  She named it Hearty, because there's a heart on his head.  OK give her a break, she is five.  I'm not sure I'd be much more creative than that now. :)  Isn't he just so little and sweet!  I also got to witness my first ever birthing experience.  I was lucky enough to be at the head end of the heifer.  Thankfully I got to witness it without actually having to witness it. If ya know what I mean.  Anyway I won't go into detail, just to say it was an interesting new experience.  Now momma and baby are doing great, along with two other new additions that came after we left for the day.

Glad the weather is finally starting to look a little brighter.  I'm housesitting/dog-sitting this week for a friend at work, she's on her honeymoon.  Hopefully all goes well with that, the dog is seizure prone.  I'm really really hoping he doesn't seize this week!  Anyway, I write all that to say I will probably be out of bloggy world until Easter.  Have a great week!

Outfits for the next couple of months

I know you've seen the dress already, but Mom and I made another trip to the "big" city and found shoes that I think work w/ it.  What do y'all think?  We also found a really cute White House Black Market outfit for the rehearsal.  I would have never put the outfit together or even thought of it for myself, but the saleslady brought it to me.  I tried it on to be polite, and loved it!  Then Mom got it for me so I wouldn't go broke. Gotta love that!!

What do you think?  I need suggestions for jewelry for both.

So much goin on!

Sorry it's been a while since my last post!  There's been a lot going on!  We got our invitations in, and they're almost addressed.  We met with a print shop to make the insert for reception directions, and I have to go proof the final copy today or tomorrow before they print.  We figured out the wedding cake.  I'm super excited about that, the cake lady is totally flexible.  I had several ideas and she put them together in a way that I think will really mesh well together.  I'll do a post soon on that.
After the cake lady meeting, Dad played me a few songs he was thinking about for our father/daughter dance.  Of course, being the crybaby that I am, I burst into tears with the first words from Frank Sinatra.  FB knows me well enough to just rub my back, Mom just found me some tissues, and Dad just laughed.   Then I played a couple country ones I really like too, and of course, Mom decided it was her turn for tears. Her song that got her was "Stealing Cinderella."  This made me start up again and die laughing too.  Dad made some comment about learning to live with women to FB.  I said it was obviously all genetic, then regained a little composure with a brownie.
Tonight we're hoping to get the insert finalized at the printer, and get the rehearsal dinner caterer figured out.  Oh and to make things just a little brighter, I don't have school tomorrow or Monday. YAY!  Monday we're meeting with the florist, so that should be exciting!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  Don't forget to spring forward Sunday.

30 years ago today...

God blessed the world with this little bundle of joy.
Sorry I don't have any cute baby pictures... Farmboy turns 30 today.  He's all oh it's just another day, but if he'd never been born, I'd never have found my soulmate.

Isn't he a hottie?  This was at his friend's wedding about a year ago.  It was the first time he introduced me to any of his friends.  Which I have to say was a little overwhelming.  I met a lot of friends all at once, luckily I was definitely not the one getting the attention.  It was also the first time we'd traveled together, instead of traveling to each other.  It was a lot of fun spending some time in the car, just being together.  At that point in our relationship, I just craved more time with him.  Especially since we were living so far from one another.

Wow I really got off topic!  Anyway.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY FARMBOY!!!
