Daisy's Four weeks old

It's been a pretty good week.  Daisy found her mouth with her hands this week.  She definitely likes the car seat better than swing and bouncer.
We're not real thrilled with the Boppy either, but she is a little more happy with it than she was in this picture.  However, Holly still likes it more than Daisy does.

Holly and her bear

Holly loves her little bear.  She carries it around everywhere.  She would take it outside with her if we let her.  She obsessed with it.
This is the look you get if you try to touch her bear.  She will growl if she's feeling extra frisky.  That's also her favorite pillow, so she can sit in between us.
Bear is always right there, or under her paw.  It cracks me up.  If you hide it under the blanket, she'll dig like crazy!  She woke me up last night, and I assumed she wanted to go out.  When I opened the doggy gate to the living room, she ran straight for the bear.  Then she wouldn't drop it to go out, which of course made me a little cranky at 2 am!  She took it back to bed with her, and I really think that's all she woke me up for.

Guess I'd better get used to this.  I'll probably have the child with a favorite stuffed animal in another year or two.  You know that child, the one in Walmart dragging some poor thing around, across the dirty floor and through some mud puddles.  So I suppose this is good practice.

Our super exciting weekend

We enjoyed some relaxation Saturday.  My aunt and uncle came down and brought a bunch of my cousin's maternity clothes.  They also wanted to see our humble abode.  My parents brought them over for a little while, the rest of the day Holly and I did lots of the above!  She's wearing her big sister shirt since the fam was coming over.  Farmboy was with a few of his students at some competition or something.  We had a fiasco with mice Saturday night, but I'll save you all the details.  Y'all really don't want to know!
Sunday we went to church for the first time in a looong time, then went to Walmart for a few groceries.  We had an hour or so before I met my mom for some shopping... that will be another post coming soon. :)  Holly decided she was too neglected or something and spent quite a bit of time under the TV stand.  Doesn't she look like a sad sack!?  She is so stinking spoiled, apparently we hadn't given her the attention she felt she deserved! Hate to break it to her but things will only go downhill from here.  She'll have to share us with the baby and it's going to rock her poor little world.

Anyway, hope you all had a great weekend.  Happy Monday

Thankful!

This year I'm going to post my thanksgiving "what I'm thankful for..." in the form of pictures.  So here goes...

My amazing love!  There aren't enough words to explain how thankful I am to have him in my life!
My supercool parents.  They're so fun and do so much for me.

The great friends I have, they all mean so much to me!  This is the adorable Glamorous Newlywed at her bachelorette party.

And I couldn't leave out this little precious.  She definitely adds color and loads of personality to my life!

My love/hate relationship with Halloween

I love the super cute Halloween costumes!  I hate that we had lots of scary kid costumes at school yesterday.  I love that one teacher brought her itty bitties as Luigi and Mario.  I hate that we had a couple boys dressed as girls... there's something truly weird about wanting to dress up like a girl when you're a fourth grader.  Oh, yea I do love these adorable Halloween pics of my precious pup.

She doesn't like her spider hoodie when I make her wear the hood.

Love the lady bug!  Speaking of lady bugs... I hate that Farmboy's house (my future home) has lady bugs that infiltrate every fall when it gets cold.  We've got to figure out where they're coming in.
Back to Halloween.  I have always loved and hated this holiday.  I really do love seeing the kids that I know and love having such a great time!  This year I hate that I can't pig out on whatever candy I want.  I've joined Weight Watchers, so I'm trying to be good.

In other news... I'm going dress shopping today!  I would love to post some pictures, however, I know Farmboy loves to read the blog. And we wouldn't want him to have any hints now would we?
Hope you all have a terrific Halloween!

Winston continued

My bestie wrote about her Winston modeling for the camera here.  I felt the need to add to the post with a couple pictures of my own.  Here is the "I can't believe you let that fluff ball on the couch but not me" pose.  Shortly after this shot Holly decided to use Winston's head as a trampoline.
Here Winston gives us a "When is that mop thing going home?" pose.  Taken shortly after Holly landed squarely on his head.  Also known as the "I have a raging headache" look.
Lastly is the "I'm the top dog" pose.  They really do like each other.... I think. :)  At least I tell myself they're best buds.
Winston:  I can't wait to see your momma... only 9 more days!!!

Summer Bummin!

Holly and I have been total bums lately!  I swear to you Holly sat exactly like that, no posing at all.  Promise!  We're just rolling our way through the Gilmore Girls series... yes I do mean the series.  Farmboy and I went to my family's reunion last weekend.  It was a lot of fun!  FB and I tubed behind my uncle's boat and seadoo-ed.  Is seadooed a word??  Apparently not based on the squiggly red lines.  I definitely like driving the seadoo better than riding while FB drove.  I accidentally hit a wave a lil harder than I should have, family was impressed FB hurt his ankle.  oops  Anyway, now we're getting ready for FB's reunion tomorrow.  Well more correctly FB and family are getting ready, and I'm watching Gilmore Girls.  The reunion should be a blast, great food, fun, and fireworks!  I plan on taking pictures if I'm not too busy with the fun!

Happy 4th of July everyone!

I'm a WIMP!

I'm taking a quick trip home to find somewhere to live.  Since it's such a quick trip, I decided to fly.  Holly doesn't fly, so she has to stay here.  The poor thing... doesn't she look super upset.
How about now?  She's not super excited, or at least I don't think.  That's food by the way, if you were wondering.
Now back to my title.  I'm a wimp because I really don't like to leave my pup.  She's only had to stay at a boarders a couple of times.  The first time I left her overnight at the vet, I cried as I drove away.  Yea, I realize I'm a little crazy!  I also cried when I had to leave her alone for her routine surgery, it didn't help that she was only 4 months old.  I called the PetSmart PetHotel today, by the time I got off the phone my heart rate was up and my cheeks were SUPER hot!  Why am I such a wimp?  I also teared up watching the online tour, because they have a bone booth.  That's right, you can call your pooch and they'll bring them to the phone so you can talk to your sweet pup.  I won't be doing this!  First of all I'm pretty sure it would freak Holly out to hear me but not see me.  Secondly, I might cry which would definitely be joke worthy for the PetHotel workers.

Anyone else a wimp when it comes to boarding their dogs?

Holly or Barkley?

This is my precious Holly.  My friends who are visiting from MO this weekend have decided that she is the real life embodiment of...
Barkley the enormous shaggy Sesame Street dog.  When Holly doesn't have her hairbow in, (i.e. 30 minutes after the groomer puts it in) she does have the hair in the face look like Barkley.  So I guess they may kind of have a point.  Other than size they may be fairly similar.
Holly's shaggy face
So what about your pets?  Are they look-a-likes as well?

Holly's New Haircut

Holly went to the groomer today.
First I bribed her to leave her bow in for a picture.
She didn't really care about what I bribed her with she was in a hurry.
She was in a hurry to rip the bow out of her hair.  In the car she was rubbing her whole head against the seat.  She's really not a fan of the bows, but just look how cute they are on her!  Luckily I got this one shot, yep that's right just one shot.

Things I love starting with D

I woke up an hour and a half before the alarm.  Can anyone say excited about seeing her man... So I decided to go ahead and post my D love blog.  Hope y'all have a great weekend!

After reading bestie's blog of C love, I wanted to play along.  The Pink Tutu tagged me with the letter D.

1. Dogs: Holly in particular, but bestie's Winston is pretty amazing as well.  Farm Boy's been talking about getting a Siberian Husky, I'm all for another puppy in my life!  Been trying to convince the parents they need one.

2. Digital Camera: I just got a new one for Christmas, so hopefully there will be more photography in the near future.

3.  Desserts:  I love chocolate, cookies, frozen yogurt, brownies, all things sweet.  I blame my mother.

4.  Daybreak:  I'm a morning person and love to watch the sun come up.

5.  Downtime:  Lazy days are amazing!

6.  Drummond:   The Pioneer Woman is really funny.  Apparently this is what my future holds, except the part about calf nuts.  There's only so much a city girl can handle.  If you've never read anything from Ree go here.

7. Decorating:  Recently Farm Boy has decided his little house in the country's not as quaint as he'd like.  Everyday he asks something new.  Should I strip the paint off the doors?  Should I rip carpet up and expose the hardwoods?  Should I do something with that upstairs room? yes, yes, definitely yes  Should we dig up a path and put in a sidewalk from garage to door? yes  We should do that over spring break.... umm... we??  hehe just kidding, I don't think he realizes what he's getting himself into asking for my help w/ a shovel... probably more work for himself than he knows

8. Dallas:  While it will only be my home for the current year, I really do love the area.  It's been fun exploring the city and living really close to the best friend!
