You know you're in love with a farm boy when...

*You go to a frat formal and almost all males are in boots

* You go to a formal at Bass Pro and eat dinner while in a room with one whole wall is a fish tank filled with Missouri's finest fish

*You think nothing of waking up at the crack of dawn to help him cut wood, fix fence, or just hang out cuz you're both awake

*You sit around with his family flipping through a catalog of poultry, trying to decide which ones to buy.  I never realized how many different types of chickens, ducks, and geese there were.

*You’ve learned more about cow breeds than anything else in the last month.  I should really pick up a book

*You help him hang up his laundry and over half of it is jeans.  I don’t own as many pairs of jeans as he does.... and I have a lotta clothes!

*You know you’re in love when he says he’s worried about you driving home and you tear up!  OK this one has nothing to do with farm life, but it was sweet and made me almost cry.

That's all for this quick trip to Missouri.  I'm sure there will be more installments in the future.

I just stopped by to thank you for visiting the Back Porch!
Enjoyed my visit!
I married a farm boy over 25 years ago. We lived in the back pasture of the family farm for over 20 years. I've done a lot of fence fixin' and cow herdin'. It really is a wonderful way of life, that we miss. The family farm was sold almost 6 years ago and we moved to town. Well almost. We are still about 2 miles outside the city limits. Only now we live on only 1/2 an acre.
