I'm soooo excited for Christmas. It usually takes me a little while to get into the Christmas spirit, but once it hits...it hits me big time. We'll go to both of our parents' churches Christmas Eve, and snacks with FB's family in between. Two services may seem like overkill for one night, but we both have our traditions and this is one we're keeping! We always celebrate at my parents house Christmas morning, then there's still time to go to the other side of the family for a late lunch. We'll go to FB's side of the family for the afternoon. Both sides of the family have nieces and nephews to enjoy watching open presents and celebrating with. Then the day after Christmas we're going to see my aunt and uncle, their son and his family, and my grandparents. We haven't gotten together with them in quite a while (like years) so I'm really looking forward to that! There's also going to be a fun Christmas surprise for everyone, so I'm super excited to see the reactions.
Hope you all have a very blessed Christmas and Happy New Year! I probably will not post until 2011.

Christmastime in full swing
It's December 1st and I'm still not quite in the Christmas spirit yet. At school there's decorations everywhere, some of which I put up. But our house.... nothing. I really haven't gotten the desire to decorate the tree yet, but I think Farmboy and I will tackle it tonight. So that's our evening plans... then I have to figure out what to get for everyone. Wish me luck!

Happy Birthday to Me! ... a little early
My birthday is the day after Thanksgiving this year. Since it's always too crazy with Thanksgiving, we have always celebrated early or occasionally late. So it usually turns into a week or more celebration. This year is no different. We started celebrating with lunch at school last Friday, with the Thanksgiving craziness we got it out of the way early. Then my mom is taking me shopping in the "big" city Saturday. When Farmboy mentioned my present had arrived in the mail, I got a bit excited! He told me before it came that I'd have to wait until the day. Then yesterday when it arrived, he said I could pick when I opened my gift. So of course, I immediately ripped it open!
He got me an iphone! Yay! Now after school I'm headed to my parents to steal their internet. I'll get it all set up so I can play with my new toy. :)

Sister-in-law news
My sister-in-law is now engaged! Yay! This is Farmboy's sister, very farmboyish herself. You can't tell that girl not to do something... like climb all over my roof... if the guys are doing said thing. Me, I'm not anything like that. There are certain things(lots of things) that are meant to be done by the boys! That's not her philosophy. So, I'm so happy for her to find a guy who's strong enough to not get freaked by that. I still think my proposal story's way cooler, but he did a good job. Happy for her, and ready to start helping with planning.

A little more than a year ago
It's crazy to think about what we were doing a year ago! It's been a busy year.
October 3rd: Farmboy proposes
October 4th: The planning and dreaming goes full force
November 26th: I get another year older
December 25th: A really great Christmas season celebrating with both our families
March 2nd: Farmboy hits the big 30
April: Bridal Shower season, we have 3 showers
May 22nd: I become Mrs. Farmboy
June 1st: I go back to work with the itty bitty kindercampers
July ?: We went on our honeymoon... is it sad that I can't remember the date??
August: We both go back to school to start a new year (my 6th, his 9th)
October: Roofing our humble home, not a superfun experience but a needed one :)

And the roofing project continues... it goes on and on and on!
So this past weekend we started reroofing our house. My hubby and dad started tearing off the shingles on Thursday, and we were still ripping it all off Saturday. We lost some of our help due to stupid stuff, but I won't go into that drama! Anyway, we're still working on it! So ready for it to be done. Of course it stormed on us Monday. I ran around like a crazy lady with buckets, and every single mixing bowl I own. It's all getting better now, at least it's dry! OK, ladies sorry for my b-fest. I'll post again soon, hopefully something more exciting.

Preggo here, preggo there, babies babies everywhere
It seems like there are all sorts of people getting knocked up lately. :) My best friend, the waitress at dinner the other night, about 800 people I pass at the mall, lots of bloggy friends, even Angela from my favorite show Bones. I couldn't be more happy for them all. Especially the bestie. :) That plus my new adorable nephew is giving me a slight case of baby fever. We even saw a couple really precious puppies at the soccer game last weekend.
Anyway, since I've got baby fever hubster and I have been talking baby names, baby things, even ideas for how we'll tell our family when we get around to having our own. The last one has been the most fun conversation lately, trying to come up with some really different fun way to break the news. So I want to know.... How did y'all tell your families and friends? If you haven't yet, have any good ideas? FB and I have a pretty good idea chosen, but I love hearing other ideas.

School is now in full swing
Sorry it's been a while since my last post. Nothing too exciting going on for us... just getting into the new routine. It's hard going back to work when you've been out of the routine for a couple months. Farmboy and I had a good labor day. We just spent time with family and took a day trip to the "big" city to shop. I really wanted a new raincoat, but we didn't find one I liked. So today I ordered one online.
OK enough random info! Hope you have a great weekend!

From spiders to snakes, from baby shower to babysitting
Last time I mentioned finding a spider, well a couple days ago we found a snake! Luckily he wasn't under the bed. FB and I had just gotten home from shopping, both with arms full w/ sacks. He was stepping out of our garage when I saw a ginormous black snake laying across the threshold of the garage door. Right under FB's feet, I of course scream. This sends FB flying, then I was shut inside the garage alone, with no way out! I'm a little panicky at this point, thankfully FB was a little calmer now that he realized it was just a snake. He calmly told me to open the big garage door. This provided me a way out, and provided FB a way in so he could take care of the snake! I'm so not a fan of the country life right now! Spiders, snakes... what's next??
I got the shower invitations in the mail Monday. Now all that's left is food, drinks, and decorations... OK wow I've got a lot to do. I am babysitting all day today and tomorrow. I was a little nervous that the lil' guy would be cranky or hard to keep happy or any other number of problems. Luckily day one's almost complete and no major catastrophes. He's refusing to sleep in his basinet, but he's sleeping just fine with me. Probably not exactly what his mama would prefer, she's all about the schedule. Anyway, we're having fun, and I believe it's almost time for a bottle. So I'll end this blog, and see you again soon.

Oh... My... I really miss the interwebs
Random wedding pic, because I feel like it
I can't believe how long it's been! I miss checking in on everyone's blogs, facebooking, and emails! When school starts it should be better, at least I can check emails everyday. I'm w/ FB at his school today, so I can blog. But his school blocks facebook and my email. I'm hostessing a baby shower for my sister-in-law. Looking forward to that! I really don't have much new, summer's pretty uneventful in the FB house. We found a tarantula under the bed. FB was in the bedroom and said, "Wow, that's big." He didn't get overly excited or yell or even act that surprised. I walked around the corner to see what it was, and jumped out of my skin! It was not just any spider, it really was a tarantula. FB was taking way too long to squash the thing, but as he pointed out later a flip flop wouldn't have killed the sucker. Then he thought I'd clean it off the floor... he was sorely mistaken! Anyway, today we're going into town and investing in some bug killer for around the house.
Our house finally looks put together, there's very few things that haven't found a home yet. I plan to get that finished up and thank you notes done before school starts. I have to go back on the 23rd. I'm really looking forward to having a schedule again. And see people other than FB on a regular basis. OK, I think that's all I've got for now. Hope you're all doing well, stick with me. I'll start blogging more once school starts and I can have some internet time.

It's official....I'm an aunt...again
I am happy to announce the birth of my adorable nephew. I hadn't mentioned this baby before, because he wasn't officially ours until 48 hours after his birth. My brother and his wife have excitedly waited the arrival of this little guy, so they could adopt him. I can't go into much detail about the situation that brought him into our lives, but I can say he's healthy and precious! He went home w/ my brother and sister in law Saturday night, and I went over there as soon as I could Sunday. :) He's 5 lbs. and 19 inches. When we left Farmboy's first words to me were, ya know... we've got to wait a year or two right? Yes dear, I know we have to wait, but a girl can dream! Now I need to get busy and throw a baby shower!! Any good ideas? All you moms, let me know what was something that you really enjoyed or appreciated at your baby showers??

Internet deprived :(
So we went shopping for internet a week ago, and turns out there are zero good options for our area. :( We live too far out of town. We can either pay way too much money for satellite internet including a $400 install cost. This comes with a sweet benefit of download and upload limits, so I can surf in fear of extra charges. Needless to say we didn't go with that option. There's a new company in town and they're just barely out of our area, so we're hoping they'll expand our way quickly. While we wait I feel very deprived. I miss reading everyone's blogs. I've also been threatened by Glam Newlywed that if she doesn't see some wedding pics, she plans on injuring me. So my plan is to come to work with Farmboy or go to my parents and steal internet from others. I do plan on posting wedding pictures next time I blog, but today I'm blogging from FB's work computer.
In other news we booked our honeymoon today. We're going to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. We don't have much planned other than relaxing. FB did book a carriage ride, which I'm really looking forward to. We're going to leave Thursday, so I'll have to tell you all about that when we get back.
It's been storming a lot lately, and Holly's not a fan of bad weather. The first night she peed on the floor, then pooped in the corner later that morning. Last night we had a better night. She woke me up twice, but at least she didn't refuse to go out in the rain this time. That dog has gotten more spoiled now that all her toys are unpacked and we're both around more. The month I was at summer school, FB was off. Now he's back at work and I'm off. When August comes and she's in her crate all day, it'll be a rude awakening for her. Which probably means she'll make us pay in some way or another. She is really funny outside since she's got more room to run, somehow she still finds a shady spot to wait on us.
OK I suppose this blog has gotten long enough. I'm helping out at FB's blood drive today, so maybe I should ya know... help in some way. Have a great weekend, hopefully I'll check in again soon.

Wedding Pictures are here!!
We got our wedding CD this week. So happy with all of the pictures. We also have our official license, so I can get my name changed. Excited to get the name changed, not looking forward to the process of changing the name. We're at the lake this weekend with my aunt and uncle and my parents. Had a great time with Farmboy's best man and his wife. Hope yall are having a great summer, 3 more days of summer school!

Wishing I had some of this right about now
Cake
Groom's Cookie
I'm having a crazy sugar craving right now. Wish we'd actually gotten to try some of this cookie. Maybe a Weight Watchers ice cream bar will sorta satisfy... I'm guessing it won't quite do it.

30 hours and counting!
So Holly woke me up at 4 to go out. When I came back in, I laid in bed wide awake for almost an hour. I finally gave up, got up, and cleaned my entire apartment. Glam Newlywed and maid of honor will both appreciate that. Now I'm getting ready to wrap a few gifts then head out for the day. Here's the agenda for anyone actually interested in that kinda thing. :)
9:00 ~ We decorate at the reception site
11:00 ~ Meet florist at church to set up gigando candles. I'm not kidding some are 8 feet tall!
Finish decorating church
Afternoon ~ Lunch and possible nap, but if it's anything like this morning my mind will just run 90 miles an hour.
6:00 ~ Rehearsal and Rehearsal Dinner
8:00 ~ Chillin with my homies :)
Yesterday we found out that our priest would be too sick to do his part of the wedding. We're very lucky that we'd planned to have my family pastor do 1/2 and the priest do the other. Now it will just be the pastor, which I know really disappoints FB's mom. But hey what can ya do? Anyway, hopefully this will be our only snafu.
Have a wonderful weekend! Talk to y'all later... As Mrs. Farmboy!

Quick Update
Today is the first day I haven't had anything going on after school in a solid month! To a lot of people having something going on after work is great. However, I am a homebody! I love my downtime, so tonight I'm already in my pj's and ready for some good tv. I will probably pack a box or two for my quickly approaching move. Luckily we've got the whole month of June to get that done. I wish Farmboy was here to relax with, but I'm sure he's enjoying himself without me. He's in St. Louis with his seniors for their senior trip. Looking forward to having him home tomorrow.
Yesterday, after meeting with our sound guy and a representative from the church, I met with the photographer. After all of that, I got to hang out with my best friend from high school. She's my maid of honor, and she was amazing enough to do my wedding programs for me. We spent a couple hours last night getting them all figured out. Now I have a rough draft, to take to the mothers for approval. Then she's going to print them for me! I'm so glad she was able to help me out.
This is a picture of us from her Pumpkin Carving Party. This was the day before FB gave me the best pumpkin I've ever seen! Really excited to have another picture or two of us, a nice side benefit to the whole getting married thing. :)

Ceremony decorations
Our center aisle decorations are fairly simple and I'm very excited about how they'll turn out.
Wood logs, cut by future brother-in-law, hauled by FB, measured by me. Tin cans, collected for FB by his lunch ladies at the school cafeteria. I think they're secretly crushing on him, but they take really good care of him so they're ok in my book. :) They used to pack him snack bags for his 6 hour trips to Dallas. Then the flowers and a bow will be added by the florist. I hope they set the rustic, natural theme we're going for when everyone first comes in the sanctuary. Come back in a few weeks and I'll make sure to post the finished product.
Finished thank you cards from all my bridal showers tonight. It took a while but I got it done before the wedding. So I think that's pretty good timing. :) Tomorrow we go to the courthouse for our marriage license. We've got something pretty much every day, but luckily it's spread out enough I won't be running from appointment to appointment all day right before the wedding. Hope all is going well for everyone else, I haven't had as much time to read my fav. blogs as much as I'd like.

21 days!!
Exactly 3 weeks from this very moment we'll be shakin our groove thang on the dance floor as Mr. and Mrs! I'm getting so excited! Went to my dress fitting yesterday and it'll be ready to pick up Friday. Now just have to talk to ushers and cake cutters, call everyone for one last check in before the big day, sit back and wait. Oh yea.... and finish out the school year, move, and write a trillion thank you cards! There's also a couple family birthdays, cousin's med school graduation, frat alum bbq, and Farmboy's high school's graduation. Just a tad busy, but I'll try real hard to keep updating.

Celebrity sighting! And other Bachelorette excitement
This weekend Glamorous Newlywed met my other BFF and I in Tulsa for a bachelorette bash. We ate a crap ton of unhealthy food, drank a bit, and laughed a ton! We ate, shopped, ate, watched a movie, ate, danced, and ate. We had lunch at Cheesecake Factory, which was YUMMY!! While there we sat right across from.... drumroll please...Garth Brooks! OK, so he hasn't really done much lately, but still I was super excited. And he was SO nice! On Saturday night, we went to a country line dance place, which was fun.
In other news.... I'm going to pick up the wedding dress, and all that goes along with that tonight. Next week I'm getting the dress fitted and my hair cut and trial run. We also have our Kansas City couple's shower this weekend. My school shower is next week as well. It'll be a busy month! Exactly one month from today I will be married!

The Bridal Shower Post... finally
Better late than never right?? OK we'll go with that since I've been a lazy blogger lately. Stick with me though the next 5 weeks should be pretty busy ones! But I'm super excited about it all!!!
Last weekend my best friend from high school threw me a shower. Quite a few people were able to make it. My mom, sister-in-law, nieces, aunt from Tulsa, and my two great aunts came. It was so sweet of my great aunts to come, especially since GaGa (their sister, my grandmother) is still in the hospital and not able to be there. She was spunky enough to make my mother bring her laptop to her room so she could see the registry and pick my gift. Also FB's mother, sister, sister-in-law, and niece came. I'm so glad that there is zero tension or drama between any of our families about us getting hitched. I know there are those of you out there who could tell some horror-in-law stories, so I'll count my blessings. Also a good friend from college who I haven't seen basically since then came.
We had a great time at Panera, including some cookies and bagels. Yum! My friend had a couple really sweet ideas planned for us. We had a love quotes quiz, which I won. I knew 13 out of 15 of them. The other game was a don't say FB's name game, I did pretty well until I got too excited while opening presents! Also each person got a card to write to me with advice or whatever, then on the envelope they had to write when I could open the card. Lots were for the day before the wedding, some are for the first week we're married. My niece put "When you have your 12th kid" I'm just going to go ahead and open that one soon, cuz there's no way that'll ever happen!!
Now onto the fun stuff.... I got some GREAT stuff! My aunt got my Kitchenaid mixer! yay! I got several kitchen utensils and our bathroom stuff. We got a really cool collage frame. My brother and his family went ahead and gave me one big gift instead of a little shower gift then another gift later. They were so sweet to get me my dishes! I can't wait to use them. I'm also really excited about the side tables we found. My friend and her mom and sister got me one, so hopefully someone else will get the other.

The most sentimental gift I got was from my momma, who else, right. :) She got me the Willow-tree couple hugging. Love Willow-tree!!!

Coming as soon as I can get around to it.... Bachelorette Bash! This weekend was a lot of fun, and I plan to tell you about all the craziness soon. Hopefully my two lovely maid of honors will send me pictures soon.... hint hint!

Last week or so..
Wow, it's been a little while since I've blogged. Easter was a lot of fun. FB and his mother joined my family and my sister-in-law's family at her father's deli. They close down the deli for Easter, then we all bring our potluck. It's really nice to have everyone together, and the kids go across the street to hunt Easter eggs in the downtown park. After our celebration several of us stayed to help my brother. He is working on renovating an 1800's Main Street building to turn it into a home. I got to do a little demolition! It was pretty good way to take out some aggression. FB and my dad worked together to frame in a window. I liked listening to them work while I beat away at my wall. I think they have very similar personalities, very glad they get along so easily.
My maid of honor and I got to hang out one evening this week. My first bridal shower is Sunday. For some reason this has hit me and everything is finally seeming real, and soon. :) I'll fill you in on that party next week.
We met with the priest to talk about what parts of the ceremony he'd do and if everything met his approval. We're meeting with the pastor Sunday after church to talk about his role and if everything meets his approval. :) So looking forward to having that done, so I can check one more thing off my to do list.
Tomorrow we're finally celebrating Dad's b-day, which was March 17th. We're going to the river to go fishing and have a lunch cookout. It should be entertaining, and I'm taking a book so I don't have to worry about putting a worm on my hook! Also the weather's supposed to be perfect!
Also to look forward to soon, the bachelorette party!! Maid of honor and I are driving to Tulsa to meet Glamorous Newlywed, aka Matron of honor, for a weekend of fun. That's next weekend, and I promise to share some of the craziness we get ourselves into later.
Hope your weekend is a little less crazy as mine. Or if it is a busy, at least as enjoyable as mine should be.

Spring has sprung on the farm
FB's niece got a free bottle calf to show at the fair this summer. She named it Hearty, because there's a heart on his head. OK give her a break, she is five. I'm not sure I'd be much more creative than that now. :) Isn't he just so little and sweet! I also got to witness my first ever birthing experience. I was lucky enough to be at the head end of the heifer. Thankfully I got to witness it without actually having to witness it. If ya know what I mean. Anyway I won't go into detail, just to say it was an interesting new experience. Now momma and baby are doing great, along with two other new additions that came after we left for the day.
Glad the weather is finally starting to look a little brighter. I'm housesitting/dog-sitting this week for a friend at work, she's on her honeymoon. Hopefully all goes well with that, the dog is seizure prone. I'm really really hoping he doesn't seize this week! Anyway, I write all that to say I will probably be out of bloggy world until Easter. Have a great week!

Outfits for the next couple of months
I know you've seen the dress already, but Mom and I made another trip to the "big" city and found shoes that I think work w/ it. What do y'all think? We also found a really cute White House Black Market outfit for the rehearsal. I would have never put the outfit together or even thought of it for myself, but the saleslady brought it to me. I tried it on to be polite, and loved it! Then Mom got it for me so I wouldn't go broke. Gotta love that!!

What do you think? I need suggestions for jewelry for both.

So much goin on!
Sorry it's been a while since my last post! There's been a lot going on! We got our invitations in, and they're almost addressed. We met with a print shop to make the insert for reception directions, and I have to go proof the final copy today or tomorrow before they print. We figured out the wedding cake. I'm super excited about that, the cake lady is totally flexible. I had several ideas and she put them together in a way that I think will really mesh well together. I'll do a post soon on that.
After the cake lady meeting, Dad played me a few songs he was thinking about for our father/daughter dance. Of course, being the crybaby that I am, I burst into tears with the first words from Frank Sinatra. FB knows me well enough to just rub my back, Mom just found me some tissues, and Dad just laughed. Then I played a couple country ones I really like too, and of course, Mom decided it was her turn for tears. Her song that got her was "Stealing Cinderella." This made me start up again and die laughing too. Dad made some comment about learning to live with women to FB. I said it was obviously all genetic, then regained a little composure with a brownie.
Tonight we're hoping to get the insert finalized at the printer, and get the rehearsal dinner caterer figured out. Oh and to make things just a little brighter, I don't have school tomorrow or Monday. YAY! Monday we're meeting with the florist, so that should be exciting!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Don't forget to spring forward Sunday.

30 years ago today...
God blessed the world with this little bundle of joy.
Sorry I don't have any cute baby pictures... Farmboy turns 30 today. He's all oh it's just another day, but if he'd never been born, I'd never have found my soulmate.
Isn't he a hottie? This was at his friend's wedding about a year ago. It was the first time he introduced me to any of his friends. Which I have to say was a little overwhelming. I met a lot of friends all at once, luckily I was definitely not the one getting the attention. It was also the first time we'd traveled together, instead of traveling to each other. It was a lot of fun spending some time in the car, just being together. At that point in our relationship, I just craved more time with him. Especially since we were living so far from one another.
Wow I really got off topic! Anyway.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY FARMBOY!!!

Ugh!
I've got some sort of respiratory junk again! But even with the cough, I'm going to frostbite with my daddy and my future hubby. Frostbite is a big rock crawling event for big SUV's. Here's a picture from three or four years ago when I went with Dad by myself.
That's me in like 8 layers, including a full rain suit and huge puff coat over that. It was wet and really muddy that year. It looks like this year may be a lot nicer than that year. Keep you fingers crossed for me though! We are going to try geo-caching too, so it should be an interesting day overall. Here's another picture of what the Willy's looks like without as much mud.
I'll try to take lots of pictures of our little adventure.

Valentine's Day: Zero Dollars spent
He listed fifteen reasons he loves me and can't wait for me to be his wife!
Here's the list (plus my commentary in parenthesis)
- You have a caring & touching heart (I cry at the drop of a hat)
- You and Holly are a package deal (I do love that puppy)
- You know me soo well (yet he still surprises me with the sweet loving things he does)
- I love your nose (I used to hate my nose, in high school a friend compared to a chunky boy's nose)
- That weird look you give me when I stare (that look is "why the heck are you looking at me... do I have a booger?")
- That I know you're always by my side (because I know he always wants me there)
- The way you get excited over the littlest thing (meaning I'm a big dork)
- The sacrifices you make for me ( I honestly don't feel like I've sacrificed anything)
- The way you let me hold you in any emotion (I love his hugs even when I'm trying to rush around the kitchen and cook dinner)
- I love your smile (it's easy to smile when he's around)
- Your dances (yes I'm a big dork who dances around when I'm in a goofy mood)
- How I know that you are excited & nervous for the next couple of months (I couldn't me more excited)
- I love you laugh (I usually enjoy laughing with him... except when he's tickling after I've told him to knock it off.... ok even that makes me laugh)
- How you like to go with me to the farm and school activities (I do enjoy seeing how he interacts with his kiddos)
- Because you are You and I am marrying you ( again I couldn't me more excited about the wedding and our future together!!)

New Dress!
Since yesterday was Presidents' Day, I had the day off. My mom and I went to meet with a couple florists and rental places for the ceremony decorations. After our apointments, we hit up the mall. It was super duper cold, and this mall has some stores that face out. Needless to say the ones we wanted to go to were the coldest possible choices. However we both had a great time. We went to Coldwater Creek for my mom, it's like her mothership or something. While she was trying on 18 different outfits I saw a couple that I really liked, which surprised me. Normally I think their stuff is more my mom, so not me. Which either means Coldwater Creek is getting cooler, or I'm turning into my mother... We'll go with the first option! But I tried both things on and fell in love with this dress. I plan on wearing it with a navy jacket.
I think it'll make the perfect bridal shower outfit. So I need your help! What shoes???

Last Night...
Random engagement pic, just because I like it!
Luckily I had no reason to be! The class had five engaged couples and one lead couple who've been married 25 years. The couples were all pretty quiet, I think none of us really knew what to expect. The lead couple was very sweet and kept the ball rolling fairly well.
We talked about communication, which was really interesting. A lot of the couples talked about different fights and arguments they'd been in, and FB and I just kind of sat there. We honestly have never fought. We've had things that we've disagreed about and disappointments, but we figure it out before either of us gets upset enough to argue or fight. I think part of this is just our nature, we don't really argue with anyone for any reason. Also we're very thoughtful, thinking it over before we're ready to talk about anything.
Anyway, it was a great first session. I'm actually looking forward to the homework we have to do this weekend. The upcoming weeks' topics look a little more difficult, but I guess that'll be good for us. For all you married couples.... What type of marriage prep did y'all go through? Did you love it/hate it?

Snow, Snow, and more snow
Friday was our fifth snow day this year! Normally that would be just fine with me, I do occasionally like to be a bum. Never leaving my house, or my pjs for the entire day. But this year, snow days matter a lot more to me. When we chose our wedding date, I thought I'd have a whole week off after school. Now with all the snow, we're going to school the day of our rehearsal dinner. So all you married ladies... how much time did you have off before your weddings? Anybody work the day before? I'm hoping my superintendent will understand and let me use my personal days. But if I'm not so lucky, anybody have any tips to keeping me sane? I know that week will be crazy, so those of you who've already been there done that, help me out.

Wedding Planning Update
We've finally made some dress decisions. Mine was the first purchase, but you'll have to wait until post wedding for pictures of that. This is a dress my sister-in-law found for my nieces. They are the candle lighters.
The dresses will be brown with a thin teal stripe. I haven't figured out what shoes they might wear. The rest of girls will all be in long dresses, so it really doesn't matter as much. Any ideas??
This is a David's Bridal dress for my 2 bridesmaids. Each girl will have their choice of top. The other top is a tank top/ v-neck look.
Tomorrow we're going to check out a couple different cake and catering options. We're hoping to find some good deals too.

Snow.... cold.... REALLY COLD
So today is the forth snow day of the year. That means my school kiddos have been out of school 3 full weeks. I went Monday for teacher inservice, so I've worked one day in 2010. I can't say that's too much of a bummer. :) Except, that these days must be made up. They will be made up the week before my wedding. I was really hoping to have the whole week to get things ready, be relaxed and not crazy running around. Now the last day of school will be the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. I'm hoping my principal will be understanding and let me use my personal days at the end of the year.
I'm feeling a little stir crazy, definitely ready to go back to work!
OK now onto something a little brighter! What'd everyone get for Christmas?? FB and I got a Wii from my parents, and some games from my family. FB got me a couple date nights and some perfume. I got jewelry, a couple cute things for the house, and a couple gift certificates. Oh I also got a couple certificates for massages. We've played Wii a LOT. It was definitely a great Christmas. Not because of the great gifts, but spending so much time with all the family. We got to see both FB and my families on multiple occasions throughout the break.
So what was your favorite Christmas gift?
